Ashley Grams
My name is Ashley Grams, and I am a Registered Psychologist (#7757) in Alberta. I received my Master of Counselling degree from City University of Seattle in 2021 and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Mary’s University in 2017.
I have experience working with diverse populations across various age groups and have provided counselling in individual, couple, and group settings. During my residency, I gained experience working with court-mandated clients, as well as male and female perpetrators of domestic violence. I have treated a variety of clinical issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, self-esteem, and trauma.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic and collaborative, drawing from a range of evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy and Attachment Theory. I create a structured yet supportive environment to help clients work toward their goals in a safe and comfortable space. I am passionate about life-long learning and have completed additional training in DBT. I plan to pursue further training in the Gottman Method and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I primarily work with adults and I am committed to providing personalized care that suits each client’s unique needs. I understand that deciding to start therapy can be intimidating, and I commend you for taking that first step. Whether you’re dealing with a long-standing issue or something more recent, I am here to guide you through the process and help you reach your goals.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy staying active through long walks, going to the gym, and spending time with family, friends, and my dog, Henry.
